Choose seven plus one
Select seven different main numbers from 1 to 35, then select one Powerball from 1 to 20. The Powerball is drawn from a separate pool and may have the same numeric value as one of the seven main numbers.
When the draw takes place
Powerball Australia draws are held every Thursday evening, normally at 8:30 p.m. Australian Eastern Time (AET). The exact broadcast and entry cut-off times can vary by state, territory and daylight-saving arrangements, so check the official lottery provider for the applicable local time.
Cost and division-one odds
The standard entry price is A$1.20 per game. The chance of matching all seven main numbers and the Powerball (Division 1) is 1 in 134,490,400 for a standard game.
